27.06.2008 - Increase National Minimum Wage
The new National Minimum Wage increases have been published. These increases come into effect on 1 October 2008 and are as follows:-
07.05.2008 - Construction (Design & Management) Awareness Training Course
New Health and Safety Regulation aimed at all aspects of Construction were introduced in April 2007.
06.04.2008 - The Corporate Manslaughter Act
The Corporate Manslaughter Act 2007 came into force on 6 April 2008. For the first time, companies, organisations and government bodies can be found guilty of Corporate Manslaughter and be liable for larger fines as a result of serious management failures resulting in a gross breach of a ‘duty of care.’
