Prevention rather than the cure
Health & Safety in the workplace is of paramount importance to every employer. Most responsible businesses take their obligations to staff and anyone else who is on their premises very seriously.
All businesses are bound by the Health & Safety at work etc. Act 1974, but a basic understanding of the legislation is not enough. Because as well as the moral implications of making sure people aren't put at risk by the activities of a business, the penalties for not doing so can be severe.
At Carleton Risk Management, we ensure that our clients are able to put into practice the procedures and principles of Health & Safety and that the employee as well as the employer is protected.
Simplicity is the key
Of course, an understanding of Health & Safety procedures is just the beginning. Our skilled consultant will visit your premises and prepare and install a fully comprehensive Health & Safety system, tailored specially to your individual business needs.
The consultant will identify any potential hazards in the workplace, list any existing control measures, advise on any protective or preventative measures you may need to take, undertake general risk assessments and assess any training requirements.
Our consultant will make a further visit to set up the policy and make sure that relevant staff are made fully aware of the procedures. Nominated staff will also be given detailed advice on how to implement the Health & Safety Management System.
